Screws for marking gauges

These screws will fit all of the gauges listed on this site. In terms of performance African Blackwood is the most hard wearing as it is a very dense hardwood but is does tend to produce a slightly coarser thread. Castello boxwood is dense and has a very tight grain so produces a finer thread. The ebonised one will loose its colour if scratched or subjected to hard use over time.
